Perhaps happiness looks simpler than we think.
Fresh flowers on the table, a quiet morning, something tasty with your tea and nowhere to hurry. This painting reminds me of the small moments that seem quite ordinary at first, and later become some of our warmest memories.
I painted this work entirely by hand, in oil on canvas and directly from life. I don't paint from photographs. It matters to me to see real flowers and their colours in natural light, and to capture the feeling of the moment while it is still in front of me.
This is the only original. Once the painting finds its owner, there will never be another exactly like it.
Size: 80 × 70 cm (31.5 × 27.6 in)
If this painting reminded you of something good, or simply gave you a feeling of home — perhaps its place is on your wall.
